NHS Fife can confirm that six people with links to a seafood company in Rosyth have tested positive for COVID-19.
NHS Fife’s Health Protection Team is currently looking into potential links between the cases, however, there is no evidence at this stage to suggest widespread transmission of the virus amongst staff working at the facility.
Contact tracers from the Test and Protect Team are in the process of identifying and tracing the known contacts of the positive cases to provide public health support and advice.
It is important that anyone experiencing the well-established symptoms of COVID-19, such as a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, arranges to be tested using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal or by calling 0800 028 2816.
A local online support hub has been created to provide information on testing for COVID-19, and updates on the pandemic. Visit: https://coronavirus.nhsfife.org/
