Surgery New Park Dunfermline

Everyone working in Fife’s GP Practices are committed to giving patients the best possible care.

As part of this, GP Practices may take part in a number of Protected Learning Time (PLT) sessions throughout the year which allows them to carry out staff training for the whole practice team.

GP Practices in Fife – with the exception of Lochgelly Surgery - are taking part in a PLT session on Wednesday, 21st June between 1 pm and 6 pm.

Please be assured that access to urgent care for patients of surgeries taking part will continue throughout this time.

During those hours on Wednesday, Urgent Care Services Fife (GP Out Of Hours Service) will provide urgent care and support to patients whose practices are closed via telephone consultation, assessment in one of Fife's urgent care centres or a home visit, should you require it.

Patients or Community Pharmacies who require to contact a participating GP Practice urgently during the time they are closed for PLT should call the Urgent Care Service on 01592 729250.

Lochgelly GP Practice will remain open on the afternoon of Wednesday 21st June and patients there should contact this practice in the normal way.

After 6pm, patients from all of Fife's surgeries can call NHS 24 on 111, as per normal process.

GP surgeries will resume their usual working hours again on Thursday 22nd June.
