In line with Boards across Scotland, and as part of our contingency planning, NHS Fife had to take the difficult decision earlier this week to postpone a number of outpatient and non-urgent elective procedures.

Unfortunately due to the short notice of the call off of strike action, we will be unable to reinstate those appointments for next week and on this basis, we are advising patients not to attend unless they are contacted by us directly and asked to do so. NHS Fife would like to thank our patients and staff for their understanding at this time. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will issue a rescheduled appointment as soon as possible.

In the meantime, should patients have any concerns regarding their condition or worsening symptoms, they are being advised to contact their Specialty/Consultant’s Secretary, using the contact details in their appointment letter.
