Question:
Information is requested on the proposed walk-in GP centre for Fife.
Scottish Government had previously said there was one planned for 'Central Fife', however over the last few days the reporter has seen social media suggesting NHS Fife had announced the centre would be in Glenrothes town centre.
A comment is sought from NHS Fife on the current situation for the site in the Kingdom.
Response:
A spokesperson for NHS Fife said: “We are aware of a number of recent social media posts stating that NHS Fife had confirmed Glenrothes town centre as the location of the new walk-in GP clinic in Fife.
“While Glenrothes town centre was proposed as part of NHS Fife’s initial submission to Scottish Government, no final decision has yet been reached on the location of the clinic and a number of areas remain under consideration.
“Further details of the new walk-in GP clinic will be announced by NHS Fife and the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership once a location has been agreed and all necessary arrangements are in place.”
