The neonatal team at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy has been recognised on the national stage after winning the prestigious ‘Neonatal Team of the Year’ at Scottish Neonatal Nurses Group Awards.
The award was presented to the team at the ceremony on Friday 05 June at the Golden Jubilee Hotel in Glasgow, and celebrates outstanding teamwork, innovation and commitment to delivering the highest standards of neonatal care for babies and their families across Fife.
The winners in each category were chosen by a panel of experienced neonatal nursing experts from across Scotland.
The awards ceremony followed the Scottish Neonatal Nurses Group Annual Conference, where members of the NHS Fife Neonatal Team played a prominent role, showcasing their work to support families in Fife’s communities and demonstrating the breadth of expertise and innovation across local neonatal services.
Gillian McAuley, Director of Nursing, said of the award: “This national recognition is a fantastic achievement for our neonatal team and is testament to the exceptional care and teamwork they demonstrate each and every day.
“This award recognises not only the clinical expertise of the team, but also their dedication, professionalism compassion to make a real difference for babies and families across Fife.”
