
The Allied Health Professions Practice Education Leads (AHP PELs) in NHS Fife are part of a national network of AHP Practice education staff based within NHS Boards across Scotland. PELs are here to support the delivery of a national workplan and work with a wide range of AHPs from HCSWs to senior AHP leads to support and facilitate learning and development.
AHP PELs also link closely with University tutors to support practice educator training and maintain high quality practice placement experiences for AHP students.
In summary our main duties include:
- Responsibility for designing and delivering training and development programmes
- To enhance the quality of learning opportunities available to the AHP workforce
- To develop local opportunities with our partners for inter professional learning within the Health Board area
- To make a significant contribution supporting the identified education needs of AHP workforce within the workplace 
- To increase the capacity of the Health Board area and other sectors to provide learning opportunities for pre-registration AHP students.
