Course Description

Adult Support and Protection Engagement Escalation & Non ASP Case Conferences

·       Discussing the 7 minute briefing papers on the Non-ASP adult case conference and engagement escalation protocol.

·       70 minute session for health to discuss using these as tools in your workplace

·       Focus is patients who are at risk not meeting the criteria for ASP legislation and patients who refuse or having difficulties engaging with services 

 

ADULT PROTECTION  Managers Training.

Who is this session for:

All NHS Fife and H&SC partnership staff band 7 and above including GP services and AHP services.

 

Prior to attending this session:

All participants must have either completed the eLearning Adult Protection eLearning module or Protection for All Training.

 

 

 

Who is this session for

All NHS staff or healthcare practitioners who come into contact with adults who may be at risk of harm.

In Scotland, the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 is designed to safeguard adults from various forms of harm.  Harm includes physical, financial, sexual or psychological abuse, neglect or discrimination, self-harm and self-neglect. The act has key principles; with the focus on being the least restrictive and that any intervention should benefit the adult 

 

There is a duty for local councils to make reasonable and balanced interventions on behalf of the adult and highlights the importance of partnership working requiring collaboration among
