Capillary blood glucose monitoring

Course Description

This programme aims to provide the healthcare practitioner with the knowledge required to safely and competently carry out capillary blood glucose monitoring.

This programme is for all Healthcare Practitioners band 2 and above involved in capillary blood glucose monitoring.  This programme aims to provide the Healthcare Practitioner with the knowledge required to safely and competently carry out capillary blood glucose monitoring.

This clinical skills programme will support Healthcare Practitioners in their studying, enabling them to work at their own pace while learning about blood glucose monitoring in the context of their own practice.  Healthcare Practitioners must successfully complete the NHS Fife Blood glucose monitoring eLearning which can be found on TURAS Learn (or the paper-based pack) prior to attending a virtual training session.

 

Prior requirements

In addition to completion of the eLearning (or the paper-based pack), Healthcare Practitioners must also complete a number of prior requirements (pre-requisites) listed opposite.
