Course Description
This programme is for Registered Healthcare Practitioners band 5 and above and aims to enable Registered Practitioners to acquire the knowledge to safely and competently set up, site and administer subcutaneous fluids. This programme will replace the existing model of face to face training and will consist of an eLearning programme and work based skill acquisition to attain competence.
This clinical skills programme will support Registered Healthcare Practitioners in their studying, enabling them to work at their own pace while learning about Hypodermoclysis in the context of their own practice.
Registered Healthcare Practitioners must successfully complete the NHS Fife: Hypodermoclysis eLearning which can be found on TURAS (or on request the paper-based pack).
Prior requirements
In addition to completion of the eLearning (or pack on request), Registered Healthcare Practitioners must also complete a number of course prior requirements (pre-requisites) listed opposite.
