Tested

“Someone that we recently worked with did not have many activities that they enjoyed in their week. This meant that they spent the majority of their time in the house; however they wanted to meet new friends and enjoy new activities. Through support of Occupational Therapy, the support team began with completing the interest checklist with the individual to identify activities the person would like to do in the future. The individual was able to identify that they enjoyed swimming, however were unsure of just turning up at a pool. The Occupational Therapist worked with the person to find a local swimming pool which was quieter at certain times. The person was able to meet other people at this event that had similar concerns and began attending the sessions on a weekly basis.”
