The Lymphoedema Department consists of two Physiotherapists. We assess and treat patients who have Lymphoedema and Lipoedema – both of which are long term conditions. There are four main areas of care – skin care and advice, exercise, massage and compression therapy. The aim of treatment is predominantly to teach self management with intervention from the therapists as required. You will generally have a Consultation every 6 or 12 months through a face to face appointment, video or telephone consultation. You may require to attend for a course of treatment such as compression bandaging or massage.
