Update on Kirkcaldy Health Centre and Well Pharmacy

Due to ongoing urgent gas works and to ensure the safety of staff and patients, Kirkcaldy Health Centre and Well Pharmacy will likely remain closed for the rest of this week.

Back to list 25/03/2024

Due to ongoing urgent gas works and to ensure the safety of staff and patients, Kirkcaldy Health Centre will likely remain closed for the rest of this week. The work is related to issues arising from gas maintenance that was taking place near the site.

Three practices are based in Kirkcaldy Health Centre:

  • Dr Egerton and Partners
  • Drs McKenna and Murphy
  • Dr’s Fordyce, Lempke, and Parish

NHS Fife has been working closely with the practices to help minimise disruption and ensure they can continue to run a reduced service, prioritising those with the most urgent need. If you have a pre-arranged appointment scheduled this week, this will be cancelled unless you have been advised otherwise. A member of your practice team will be in touch to rearrange as soon as possible.

If you are a patient at any of the above practices and have an urgent need, and it cannot wait, please call 01592 729 250. If you require non-urgent healthcare, please visit nhsfife.org/rightcare or call NHS 24 on 111. In a serious emergency, always call 999.

If you have been asked to return one of the sample containers in the picture below, please hand the labelled sample into the Nicol Street community treatment and care hub (CTAC). Please do not hand in any other urine or stool specimens until Kirkcaldy Health Centre reopens.

The adjoining Well Pharmacy will also be closed for the rest of this week. Other local pharmacies may be able to help with emergency supplies of medication, should there be an urgent need. If you have run out of medication please contact a local community pharmacy.

We appreciate your patience and will communicate any updates as soon as we can.
