You will come to the service for an emergency or a planned surgery.

We see patients with long-term joint and tissue pain which has got to the stage that requires surgery. This surgery is also called elective surgery and can be thought of as surgery aimed at improving your quality of life.

Our emergency orthopaedic team are on hand to provide immediate urgent care that cannot wait. This is also referred to as trauma surgery.
