Health Promotion

The team supports individuals, communities and the wider workforce to have the skills and knowledge to make healthy food choices for life.

What we do

Eating well and making healthy choices can appear to be difficult with all the messages that are around. We turn these messages into clear, simple and straightforward information to support communities, groups and individuals to make healthy choices.

Eating well and being more physically active are key elements for a healthy lifestyle. The Food and Health Team work with the Active Fife Team to encourage people to become more physically active.

The Food and Health Team offer a variety of training around food and health. We also deliver cooking skills programmes.  We train and support the community food champion network. Who work in the community to promote skills knowledge and confidence of food and health within their groups.

Today’s course has helped me think of changes I can use at home as well as within my practice!
