Alcohol/drugs

It is recommended to drink no more than 14 units of alcohol a week, spread across 3 days or more. That's around 6 medium glasses (175ml) of wine or 6 pints of 4% beer.

There's no completely safe level of drinking but still within these guidelines reduces your risk of harming your health. In Rheumatology some medications and conditions may impact on liver function so you will be advised in some cases to limit your alcohol even further. Please discuss this with you health professional.
